As good as the game against South Shields was on Tuesday night, the effects were clear to see in the game today. The boys were out on their feet. With the greatest respect to Kendal, we were lucky that we were at home today rather than away to someone fighting for the play offs.

On to the game. Hyde started brightly, looked confident and in control, but clearly a little flat in terms of performance levels. After monumental stats on Tuesday with players running around 11.5 - 12.5km then this was to be expected.

Hyde took the early control of the game, and scored an early goal through the tower which is Tyrone Gay. You wait all season for one and then he gets two in a week. The goal was well taken, and was part of a master class performance by Tyrone who was outstanding from start to finish. 1-0 Hyde

20 minutes later and the Tigers made it two when Matty Beadle dispatched a penalty won when Luke Porritt was pulled to the ground running into the Kendal box. 2-0 Hyde United.

This was the last thing Beadle did before being dispatched by the referee for kicking out after being punched to the ground by the Kendal N0.6 Davis. Both players were sent off, and Beadle will now miss four very important games at a key stage of the season.

HT 2-0 HYDE UNITED FC

The second half continued in much the same vein as the first. The Ewen Fields pitch is big for 10v10 and Hyde started to get more of the ball and create more opportunities. The tireless Ross Daley continued to cover every blade of synthetic grass on the pitch, and Janni Lipka was imperious along side him with all the time in the world on the ball, making the game look easy.

Hyde had several chances to finish the game off, and really should have scored three or four more, but they had to wait until the 81st minute for their third, with Sub Big Khamsuk playing a beautiful ball in from the right wing to find Karl Jones who controlled the ball with a brilliant first touch before calmly sliding it past the Kendal keeper into the right hand corner of the goal. 3-0

Kendal had a late rally, and were awarded a penalty when a driven cross hit a Ross Daley arm inside the box. The slotted it past Crook in the Hyde goal, but the game was over and Hyde were able to celebrate their 19th Win of the season and another important 3 points.

FT: 3-1 HYDE UNITED FC
